ORANGEBURG, SC – The SC State women’s basketball team will seeking a 2-0 start for the 2009-10 campaign Tuesday when the Lady Bulldogs host the Bulldogs of UNC-Asheville in a 5:30 p.m. contest at Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center. Admission is free.

            Second-year head coach Doug Robertson’s team opened the campaign Sunday with a 60-50 home triumph over Savannah State behind 18 points from senior guard Sophilia Hipps. JUCO transfer Joi Walker and freshman Paris Alston added 12 and 10 points, respectively, in the victory.

            UNCA (0-1) will be seeking to rebound from a 66-53 loss to Newberry Saturday.

            In last year’s meeting at Asheville, the SC State Lady Bulldogs prevailed 67-64 at Justice Center.

Orangeburg, SC— SC State women’s basketball head coach Doug Robertson will host a women’s basketball clinic, Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010. The clinic, which is open to women ages 21 and up, will be held at the Smith-Hammond-Middleton Memorial Center on the campus of SC State University. Check-in for the clinic will begin at 7 a.m. with the activities beginning at 9 a.m.
The clinic will include a question and answer session with Bulldog coach’s wives, a meet and greet along with a photo with Coach Robertson, shopping with SC State Bulldog vendors and lunch provided by Subway. The registration fee for the clinic is $30 per adult.

June 19, 2010-9 am-4 pm: Parent/Daughter Clinic-$50.00 ($10 each additional child)
June28-July1, 2010-9 am-4 pm each day: Individual Day Camp: $150 per person
