Montreat, NC—The SC State women's soccer team recorded its sixth shut-out of the season as they defeated Montreat College, 3-0, in a non-conference match-up. With the victory, the Lady Bulldogs assured themselves a winning season for the first time in the history of the program.
Junior midfielder
Bahja Peeples led the offensive attacks for SC State, as she scored two goals for four points to help the Lady Bulldogs improve to 9-6-2 on the season.
Dani Benton scored one goal for two points and
Leslie Martin had two assists for two points in the contest.
Brooke Ehinger contributed one assist for one point in the victory.
SC State will travel to Washington, DC to take on Howard University on October 30 before returning home on Sunday, Nov. 1 to close out its 2009 regular season. It will be senior day for the Lady Bulldogs.
