ORANGEBURG, SC – The South Carolina State golf team carded an 18-hole team total of 330 to defeat the Citadel, which had a 348, in a dual match at Hillcrest Golf Course Tuesday. The match was originally scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11, but was moved to Tuesday due to inclement weather on Sunday.
The Citadel's Alanna Keith a 6-over par 78 to take medalist honors in the event.
The host Lady Bulldogs were led by senior Addi McLaren, who carded an 18 hole total of 8-over par 80. She was followed junior Honesty Biggers and freshman Cabriel Duren, both with an 81, and senior Geneva Mackey, who had an 88. Also competing for SC State were freshmen Allison Brown and Marina Terry.
The SC State women return to action Oct. 19 at the two-day Wendy's Invitational, hosted by Charleston Southern.
