HAMPTON,VA—The South Carolina State men will be looking to get back on the winning track in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference while the women will be seeking its first conference win of the season when they face Hampton University in an MEAC doubleheader at Convocation Center in Hampton, Va.
Both the men's and women's games will be carried by ESPNU via courtesy feed the Hampton Radio Network.
Coach Tim Carter and the Bulldogs (6-8, 1-1 MEAC) are coming off Wednesday's tough non-conference 57-53 loss to Savannah State, while the Lady Bulldogs(3-10, 0-2 MEAC ) will be seeking its first league win after suffering tough road losses to Delaware State 62-49 ( 1/10/09) and UMES 73-61(1/12/09).
SC State is led in scoring by senior forward/center Jason Johnson with 14.9 ppg and 7.9 rpg, while junior Jason Flagler is second with 13.9 ppg and 5.2 rpg.
The Lady Bulldogs are led by senior center Marie Reid with 15.8 ppg and 5.8 rpg, while Sophilia Hipps is second in scoring 15 ppg and grabbing 4.2 rebounds per game.
