Charleston, NC—The SC State men's team finished sixth while the women's team finished third at the Citadel Invitational held at James Island County Park on Saturday.
Freshman Charles Kurgatt (Tallahassee, FL) paced the Bulldogs finishing in 24th place (out of 58 competitors) with a time of 29:15.11. This time marks the best time of the season for Kurgatt in an 8k race.
On the women's side Freshman Brittney Stewart (Warner Robins, GA) put in her best finish of the season finishing ninth of 43 competitors. Stewart paced the Lady Bulldogs with a time of 19:51.73 in the 5K race.
Both teams will be back in action on October 18 when they travel to Rock Hill, SC to participate in the Winthrop Fall Invitational.
