ORANGEBURG, SC – One lucky fan attending South Carolina State's Homecoming contest Saturday will leave with a 42-inch flat screen television, a prize being offered to encourage Bulldog fans to come into Oliver C. Dawson Stadium and cheer the team on as it hosts Norfolk State in a pivotal Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference contest beginning at 1:30 p.m.
To qualify for a chance to win the TV, courtesy of In-Home Video on Russell Street, fans must register for the prize INSIDE the stadium by the end of the first quarter. The drawing will be held during the break between the third and fourth quarters. You MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN!
General admission tickets for the game are available at $25 for adults and $15 for students until 6 p.m. Friday. All tickets on Saturday will be $35. Interested persons should call 803-536-8579 or toll free at 800-298-9157.
SC State is 4-2 on the season and a perfect 2-0 in the MEAC, while Norfolk State is 2-3 overall and 1-1 in league play.
Bulldog fans are encouraged to wear garnet for the contest.
Former SCSU Swimmers to Hold Pre-Reunion
Former members of South Carolina State swimming teams will hold a mini Reunion Saturday following the Bulldog Homecoming game at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the Comfort Inn on 601 near I-26.
Among the expected attendees are Bulldog Hall of Fame swimmers Robert Bradley, Charles Falana, Nate Madison and Charles Lumpkin and All-American Joseph “Ross” McConahey
SC State discontinued its swimming program in 1983.
